Waiting is the Hardest Part

Hi Friends,

We wanted to write an update to let you know where we are in our adoption process. We are in a unique stage where things happen, but not much happens. Let us explain:

We have been in a waiting stage for a few months, hoping to see a match from an expectant mother come along. You see, when an expectant mother comes to the agency we are given a brief synopsis of their situation and as much medical information as they are willing to share. We can then decide if we want to present our biography to them for review. The expectant moms are then shown around 8 family profiles and choose one to move forward with. We have had the opportunity to present our profile several times, but each time they have chosen to pursue adoption with another family. So you see, things are happening but we are still very much waiting to move forward in the process.

This is a tough stage in the journey. Waiting is hard. We have completed all the documents and home studies and are now hoping and praying that we find the right mother to form a relationship with. The timing and decisions are mostly out of our hands and we have no control over who comes to the agency and when. We don't know if we will have a match in one week or several months. This is where we need your prayers!

• Trust that God has the timing in his hands and he knows what is best for everyone involved.

We are so looking forward to adding another child to our family and building a relationship with that mom, whoever it may be. We can't say enough how thankful we are for your continued prayers. We love each and every one of you, thanks so much for joining us on this journey.
